Il Buco was built in the cellars of a former monastery in Sorrento. It consists of two very elegant indoor dining rooms and an outdoor one, adorned with plants and fragrant flowers. The cuisine creatively revisits traditional dishes, offering unusual but well-matched combinations. Some of the specialities are the scallops ‘al salto’ with burrata and tomato carpaccio, ravioli with mozzarella and lemon in a scampi and sea urchin guazzetto, mezze maniche with white fish ragù, white grouper on a bed of spicy broccoli and garlic sauce, and the Neapolitan babà mousse with white chocolate. The restaurant’s wine cellar is rich in regional and national wines.
