Spiaggia Approdo di Enea

Spiaggia Approdo di Enea (Aeneas’s Landing Beach) is so called because legend has it that Aeneas first set foot on Italic soil on its shores. It is a small beach located at the former mouth of a stream that no longer exists. It is set in a small bay, characterised to the south by caves containing the remains of prehistoric elephants and to the north by the famous Grotta dei Cervi. The sea is blue and clear with a sandy seabed.
