Protected by majestic hills and set in dreamlike scenery, amidst fascinating slopes and quarries where ancient thermal springs flow Maronti Beach – the only one in the municipality of Barano d’Ischia – stretches for almost 3 kilometres.
Whether coming by sea or land, the view will take your breath away: a long bay surrounded by green hills, stretching from Monte Cotto to the islet of Sant’Angelo.
Strolling along the shore, you can see the characteristic Fumarole and perhaps enjoy a chicken cooked in boiling sand. We recommend a stop at Antiche Terme di Cava Scura, carved into the tuff, for a regenerating bath and sauna. If the tide is low, you can walk to the nice fishing village of Sant’Angelo. Should the tide not allow it, you can still quickly reach that corner of paradise or even Sorgeto by taxi-boat.
