Osteria del Gourmet, not far from the central Piazza Politeama, is a restaurant with basic and modern furnishings, but it is also cosy and warm. Sicilian cuisine is revisited in a gourmet style and, thanks to the owner’s strong passion for Palermo, a number of dishes closely linked to street food, such as pane ca meusa and arancine, are also on the menu. Proposals vary with the changing seasons and according to market availability. Swordfish is a real treat, to be tasted in caponata with toasted pine nuts or in muffin version with shrimp cream.
