Pasticceria Oscar is one of the best known pastry shops in Sicily. It was founded in 1969. King of the pastry shop from its birth to the present day is the great Vincenzo Di Gaetano. His secret, apart from his innate skill, lies in the use of the best raw materials and respect for tradition in the preparation of his island’s typical confectionery specialities: cannoli, cassate, buccellati, pasta reale, almond and pistachio sweets. But Vincenzo is also famous for his inventions, such as the torta setteveli, a multi-layered chocolate cake with cereals and hazelnut mousse, and the Mozart, a cake with orange cream, cream, strawberries and a thin layer of royal pastry. Pasticceria Oscar is also an excellent gelateria.
