Pasticceria Cappello has been an institution in Sicily since 1940. Salvatore Cappello is a master pastry chef renowned throughout Italy, with a particular passion for chocolate. At Pasticceria Cappello, you can sample finely crafted artisanal chocolate, as well as typical Sicilian confectionery, with its pistacchio di Bronte and almond paste sweets, and of course the ‘cannoli’ and ‘cassate’. All the delights are produced with quality ingredients. Pasticceria Cappello has been listed as one of Italy’s historic pastry shops in an Italian Touring Club guide and in Gambero Rosso’s Guida Bar d’Italia. Also worth tasting is the homemade ice cream.
