With its 5,000 hectares, the Regional Natural Park of Porto Conte is an ecosystem of high biodiversity: there are around 60 different plant communities, 26 terrestrial and lagoon habitats and several fauna species, many of which find refuge in the Calich Lagoon. The area’s archaeological heritage is also noteworthy, with the Nuraghe and Roman Villa of Sant’Imbenia and the Nuraghe of Palmavera. The Park also includes the Marine Protected Area Capo Caccia – Isola Piana, with its cliffs and many underwater caves.
