Neptune’s Cave is one of the many attractions to be discovered in the Protected Marine Area of Capo Caccia – Isola Piana. It is located just below the rocky outcrop of the Capo. You can reach it by sea or by walking up the 656 steps of the scenic Escala del Cabirol, Scala del Capriolo.
The excursion inside Neptune’s Cave follows a 580-metre route. It starts with Lake Lamarmora and its Acquasantiera, a stalagmite column located right in the middle of the basin. It continues to the Hall of Ruins, to the Palace Hall with its 9-metre calcitic columns, to the Smith Hall with its 49-metre Great Organ, the most imposing column on the entire site. Moving on, you will find the Hall of Trine and Lace and the balcony of the Music Tribune.
