Catania’s Pescheria is Catania’s historic fish market, dating back to the 19th century. History and folklore, colours, sounds and ‘vuciate’ create the typical Arab souk atmosphere. The market is located behind Piazza Duomo and runs through the wall tunnel of Charles V.
A place with a unique Arabian charm, where you will find stalls full of fresh fish, and fishermen intent on selling their catch or cleaning and cutting it up. You will be immersed in this flow of people and voices, passing through the market under its typical red tents.
A real open-air theatre, where you will find yourself playing the role of spectator actors. A unique and unmissable experience!
