This church is one of Scicli’s most important monuments, designed and built in the Baroque-Neoclassical style. The most significant moments in the Saint’s life are depicted by some frescoes on the vault of this place of worship. Another very important work is the altarpiece depicting the martyrdom of San Bartolomeo. In addition, the church houses a fine example of Neapolitan crib art: the wooden crib by Pietro Padula.
