Island of Capri

The blue island: a small oasis in the heart of the Gulf of Naples

The first image that comes to mind when thinking of Capri is undoubtedly that of the Faraglioni. Imposing and splendid, they rise up where the water is crystal clear and reflects the sunlight. The Blue Island, so called because of the spectacular play of light illuminating its wild caves, gives visitors an atmosphere full of charm and unmistakable style, that seems to have stopped at the time of ‘La Dolce Vita’.

Visited over the years by internationally renowned artists, writers and intellectuals, the island of Capri boasts an unspoilt nature that makes it a small oasis in the heart of the Gulf of Naples: from the unmissable Grotta Azzurra to the amazing Giardini di Augusto, a botanical garden where you can stroll during the hottest hours of the day, to Monte Solaro, reached by the suggestive chairlift that will take you to the other town, Anacapri. The Piazzetta, also known as the lounge of the world, is a great spot to have coffee or an aperitif in good company.
