Your holiday on the island of Malta

A journey through the Calypso Archipelago

An authentic archipelago where you will find crystal-clear sea, exciting views and a mild climate almost all year round.

The millennial history with Italian, British and Arab influences makes this destination a unique place in the world. Popular with scuba divers and surfers, Malta, the archipelago’s main island, is often chosen by young people both for studying English and for its nightlife. You will discover the capital Valletta with its Grand Harbour, St John’s Cathedral, the Knights’ Convent Church and the nearby town of Victoria. The medieval citadel of Mdina, also known as the ‘silent city’, is also definitely worth a visit.

Gozo, mentioned in Homer’s Odyssey as the legendary Island of Calypso, is a place of inestimable beauty. Ideal for scuba diving, it offers unforgettable views, such as the famous Blue Window at Dwejra and the bay of Xlendi. You may also visit historical sites such as the Temples of Ggantija. Comino, the smallest and wildest island of the archipelago, is a true paradise for lovers of tranquillity and beautiful sea. You will be enchanted by the ‘Blue Lagoon’ with its crystal-clear water and Comino’s Caves overhanging the cliffs.

Malta’s sea

The Maltese archipelago offers sandy beaches and rocky coves.
To the north of the island is Ghajn Tuffieha, a secluded sandy cove accessed by a flight of almost 200 steps. Paradise Bay, near Mellieha, is characterised by a long cliff with an inlet and a small sandy beach. St. Paul Bay, towards Bugibba, is one of the busiest beaches on the island. Ghadira Bay is a family favourite for its fine, golden sand and sloping access to the sea. Imgiebah beaches are rocky and pebbly, secluded and hard to reach, but with incredible water and views. Peter’s Pool, with an impressive natural water pool. Comino and Cominotto are two of the most popular destinations for diving enthusiasts, are characterised by an emerald-green sea. Equally beautiful are Gozo‘s many inslets, including Ramla Bay with its distinctive reddish sand.
