Crystal-clear water, small tongues of sand and pebbles. Capri can offer intimate and very romantic corners: small coves where nature shows off all its beauty, amidst lush Mediterranean maquis and a thousand shades of blue.
As soon as you arrive in Capri, the first thing to do is to take a dip near the Faraglioni, the undisputed symbol of the entire island. Here you will find La Fontelina bathing establishment, where you can hire a sunbed and umbrella, enjoy its clear waters and stop for lunch under the suggestive pergola caressed by a light sea breeze.
On the harbour side, we find the largest beach of Capri, Marina Grande, especially suitable for families with children. From here it is possible to visit, thanks to the taxi-boat service, the famous Baths of Tiberius. The free area is right next to the hydrofoil ticket office. Marina Piccola, on the other hand, faces more to the south and is ‘protected’ by Monte Solaro, so the sun goes out very early. It is ideal for those who like to sunbathe in the morning and cool off in total relax. It can be easily reached on foot long Via Mulo stairs or by bus.
Lovers of wilder, unspoilt nature can head for the beautiful Grotta Azzurra, where they can dive from the rocks or relax by renting a sunbed and sunbathing in one of the most beautiful corners of the island. Close to the Grotta Azzurra, there is another free area: the Gradola, one of the most awarded for its clean and transparent water.
Another place of rare beauty is the Lighthouse of Punta Carena. Rocks or convenient ladders will help you with diving and more diving! Nearby you will find the snack bar Da Antonio, where you can stop for a fresh salad or tasty peaches in white wine. For a Spritz or a Prosecco at sunset, you can stop at Maliblu, another popular late-night spot near the lighthouse.
