Fun and good food in San Vito lo Capo!
The summer season is meant to be experienced in all its forms. And so it is the desire to get together and have fun, discovering all the secrets of the destination you have chosen for your holiday. In San Vito Lo Capo, every year, two really important events are organised.
The ‘Cous Cous Fest‘ is an internationally renowned festival that aims at cultural integration. And what symbol, if not a beautiful dish of cous cous, can be a demonstration of peace, union and exchange between peoples?! At the end of September, the Sicilian town hosts the best chefs from Italy and beyond and their tasty creations. Many artists will perform with live music in the Piazza Santuario, and there will also be talks and encounters in the square. In addition, you can delight your palates with tastings at the Cous Cous Houses. More than thirty recipes for this dish, including revisitations and homages to tradition, will be presented every day from noon to midnight: vegetables, fish and meat as well as more exotic variants! There really is room for all tastes!
Another popular event is the International Kite Festival. Feet on the beach and everyone’s nose in the air. In May, the skies above San Vito Lo Capo will be coloured by cute acrobatic and pyrotechnic kites to the delight of adults and children alike. In a festive atmosphere, where the displays will be accompanied by lights and music, people will admire these veritable works of art made of rice paper and leaves, and decorated with floral motifs or evoking animals of the most diverse sizes! Many moments of fun where messages and gestures of generosity and friendship will also be exchanged!
