From the ancient streets of the Aragonese Castle to the picturesque village of Sant’Alessandro, through the streets and alleyways of Ischia Porto, people and characters of Ischia’s history come to life in charming historical costumes.

From the settlers from ancient Greece to the nobles of the Angevin and Aragonese dynasties that ruled over Ischia, to the Bourbons and the ever-present peasants and artisans, custodians of the island’s fertile soil.

The rolling of the drums, the patter of horses and the astonished crowd that throngs to see the spectacle, make up the soundtrack of the parade enriched by the stunning dresses made of fine fabrics by the expert tailors from Sant’Alessandro.
