The monumental complex of Santa Chiara houses the “Museo delle Carte” (Museum of Paper Documents). Here, paper is clearly the focus of attention as driving force of cultural development. The tour is a travelling tale of knowledge and reading; the exhibits reveal how paper documents of any kind, from local newspapers to romantic poems, up to voluminous manuscripts, remain imprinted in man’s memory, restoring that magic that only ink on paper can release.
