This church is the most important worship site in of Noto. It is situated on the top of an impressive staircase, north of Piazza Municipio. Named after San Nicolò, bishop of Mira, it was completed in 1703 and is clearly and strongly Baroque style. The nave and two aisles contain important works such as the urn containing San Corrado Confalonieri’s remains. The dome is frescoed by the famous Russian painter Oleg Supereco.
