What to see in Villasimius

Nature and culture

Villasimius, Villasimius is mainly known for its beaches. Between a dip and a swim, we recommend visiting the Archaeological Museum, the Old Fortress and the Marine Protected Area of Capo Carbonara.

At the Archaeological Museum, you can visit the beautiful Wreck Room, an ancient artefact found on the island of Cavoli, and four other rooms housing evidence of the area’s trade network and history. A breathtaking view is offered by the Fortezza Vecchia, an architectural site just a few steps from Capo Carbonara. If you love nature, do not miss the opportunity to visit the Marine Protected Area that stretches from Capo Boi to Punta Porceddus. Here you will see dolphins, barracudas and red lobsters, as well as beds of posidonia and sea daisies!
