Best beaches in the Sorrento Peninsula

The most beautiful beaches in the Sorrento Peninsula can be found between Sorrento and Massa Lubrense. Rocky coasts shelter bays where nature is unspoilt, clear water and peace are guaranteed. One of the most fascinating places is the wild Bay of Ieranto, between Punta Penna and Punta Campanella, reachable via a path in the hamlet of Nerano. Not to be missed are the Bagni della Regina Giovanna, characterised by a natural pool shrouded in fragrant broom; access to this cove is through a suggestive arch separating the sea from the lagoon.

Hiking enthusiasts can try exploring the Crapolla Fjord in Massa Lubrense. By crossing the Protected Reserve of Punta Campanella, you will be able to spot the islet of Li Galli and the rocks of Vetara and Isca; about 700 stone steps will lead you to the beach, which consists mostly of pebbles. For those who don’t want to stray too far from Sorrento, we recommend the beaches of Marina Grande and Marina Piccola, comfortable and well equipped.
