Villasimius

A holiday by the sea

Villasimius is the queen of summer! The Sardinian town lies on the south-eastern coast of the island and is known for its enchanting, white beaches and crystal-clear sea. Lovers of fine weather will find here moments of pure relaxation in hidden and little-visited coves, but also the typical youthful nightlife in well-equipped and easy-to-reach lidos. Let yourself be captivated by the beach of Porto Giunco, a strip of fine sand divided between the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Notteri pond, home to numerous pink flamingos.

There are also several must-see attractions, such as the Old Fortress, the Archaeological Museum and the Protected Marine Area of Capo Carbonara, an example of rare Mediterranean beauty where fauna and flora coexist in full balance. Scented with myrtle, broom and juniper, this area is a paradise for posidonias and the preferred habitat of the pinna nobilis, the largest bivalve mollusc in the Mediterranean.
