If you are on holiday in the Gargano region, you have the extraordinary opportunity to pay a visit to the Tremiti Islands. This beautiful archipelago consists of three islands, San Domino, San Nicola and La Caprara, and two main rocks, Cretaccio and La Vecchia. San Domino is the main island and is known for its caves, including the Bue Marino cave. Here, birdwatchers can try their hand at spotting the Queen’s and the Peregrine falcon. Little curiosity: on the Tremiti, inhabitants do not speak the Gargano dialect of the mainland, but Ischian dialect.
