Cathedral of San Bartolomeo

The Cathedral of San Bartholomeo dates back to 1084. It is located in the so-called Acropolis of Lipari. The abbey church, together with the monastery and the first Latin-Norman cloister in the region, was burnt down by the Turks in 1544. The Renaissance reconstruction retained much of the original building. The church contains several works of art. The entrance to the cloister is on the right aisle.
