The Basilica of Sant’Antonino (city’s patron saint) is among the most beautiful religious buildings in Sorrento. Sant’Antonino’s tomb is preserved in the crypt of this monumental church. Located a short distance from the Cathedral, it was built in the 11th century and then underwent many changes. The present structure is in Baroque style. The interior has a Latin cross plan and is divided into three naves. The frescoes by Giovan Bernardo Lama in the nave are magnificent. In the sacristy you can see a beautiful 18th-century nativity scene of the Neapolitan school. Shepherds were made with great attention to detail.
