The natural springs take their name from the place where they are located, Gadir. Since Phoenician times, this place of well-being has been appreciated and used for the therapeutic virtues of its thermal waters. Water is collected in small pools carved into the rock. It is rich in mineral salts and therefore therapeutic for arthrosis and rheumatism. The temperature varies between 39 and 50 degrees Celsius. A special algae grows along the walls of the pools: it is used to treat sinusitis, colds and other respiratory problems.
