Palazzo D’Avalos

Palazzo d’Avalos is one of the most fascinating attractions in the fortified village of Terra Murata. Built in the 16th century by the d’Avalos family, governors of Procida until the 18th century, it was later turned into a prison and closed in 1988.

The complex is made up of a courtyard, the single cell block, a dispensary, the veterans’ building, the guardhouse, the manager’s house and the palace.

Today, Palazzo d’Avalos can be visited by making a reservation on the Procida municipality portal.
