Since 1905, Giovanni Scaturchio‘s pasticceria has been one of the old town gastronomic pillars. This is where their trademark, the Ministeriale, was invented by Francesco Scaturchio to win over a young Neapolitan woman. It is a medallion of dark chocolate with liqueur cream, fruit, hazelnut and ricotta cheese. While sitting at tables overlooking the beautiful and lively Piazza di San Domenico Maggiore, you can also sample traditional sweets such as ‘sfogliatella’, ‘babĂ ’ and ‘pastiera’!
