Donnafugata Castle

Donnafugata Castle is a grand residence, a noble villa from the late 19th century. An articulated architectural complex of great stylistic prestige. The white stone exterior features a Venetian-Gothic façade with Moorish elements. Eight balconies with pointed arches overlook the terrace below.

Inside, only 20 of the 122 halls/rooms divided over three floors can be visited. The most famous are the Picture Gallery, the Music Room, the Library and the Hall of Coats of Arms.

The entire castle is surrounded by a park of about eight hectares, decorated with various plant species and several structures of the period such as the circular temple, the Coffee House and some artificial caves.
