The Guarantee operates in the following cases:

– A) if a Covid-19 epidemic/pandemic directly affects you, a travelling companion, or a family member travelling with you and you are forced into quarantine,
or

– B) if you are forced to extend your stay due to the positive outcome of a health check that, by government directives of the country in which you are travelling, is carried out at the port/airport/station of departure before returning to your residence or reaching your next destination.
In these cases, Europ Assistance will reimburse you for hotel/accommodation expenses for the extension of your stay. For case A), if you are forced to spend the quarantine in a room/structure other than the one booked, Europ Assistance shall reimburse you for any increased hotel/accommodation expenses even during the originally planned stay and not only in the case of “Extension of stay”.
